Proper collection and documentation of evidence in rape and sexual assault cases is crucial for legal process to work flawlessly. Forensic evidences such as identified injuries, blood, sputum and semen samples are used to support the history given by the victim, these evidences can prove that there is a recent carnal contact or use of force during the assault and can even reveal the identity of the attacker.
